I have never worn traditional "cowboy" boots. I have always worn hiking boots with ties so I was not sure what to expect from these boots as far as fit. Since I took the time to research all of this I will share with you to save you the trouble. First, I normally where a 13, and rarely a 12 1/2. My first order was for a pair of 13s. They run extremely large. Trying on the 13s my foot just slipped right in and there was alot of room between the toe of the boot and my actual toes. Of course, I didn't know if this was normal or not. So I did some research. When buying boots your heel will naturally slip up and down initially in the boots when you walk. This is due to the nature of the initial stiff sole of the boot. With time it will adjust to your foot. HOWEVER, a boot should not just slip right on like the initial pair of 13s that I bought. They should be difficult to pull on, especially at first, before they are broken in. You should have to pull...
