Blonde color is stunning! Very neutral/go with everything. The ankle/instep area is extremely tight/difficult to get on. Other reviews say "Frye boots run big, order down, the heels slip & you have wiggle room in the toes". Even Frye Company says that proper fit includes heel slippage & toe wiggle room. Too tight/short on me- My foot was scrunched, absolutely NO room for a sock, NO toe wiggle room, & ZERO room for heel slippage. (I have 3 pair of backless, current-season Frye mules- sz 9- which fit GREAT!) So, I tried to convince myself that they just needed time to adjust to my feet- I wore these boots around the house (with a man's slipper over the soles to keep them new) for 1/2 hour, & could feel my big toe joints/bones being jammed. I returned them & re-ordered a full-size up. I've never worn a sz 10, but I'd SO much rather have a well-fitting boot w/ toe wiggle room, vs. risk buying expensive boots, wearing them once, & have them kill... Why??? The Amazon customers were the only ones who gave accurate reviews, These boots in particular I decided to buy in my TRUE SIZE 9 1/2 because of what the first reviewer on this site wrote, she had to go a whole size up for comfort!! These boots do Not Run Big in my estimation they fit true to size. I have wiggle room for my toes, a little slippage on the heel, the calf a bit tight at first trial, but wore it to the mall an hour after receiving it, takes a few hours to break in. The right foot at the ankle caves in and squashes my ankle bone, which is very uncomfortable but as I walk in it the feeling gets less and less uncomfortable, by next week or a little beyond I should be able to have an attitude type walk in them!!!
