I received these boots today not from Amazon (sorry). I bought a size 6 black. Based on this size, if your calves are larger than 12-1/2", I would not buy. Also the boots will rub your ankles if you do not wear socks. The boot fits true to size if you don't have a wide toe box. As for me, I loved the boots but had to return them because of the toe box width. They fit my skinny legs perfectly. They are a good quality thick leather & have faint distressing more so on the foot of the boot. There is nice stitching designs on the upper & toe of the boot. They have padded insoles & a low heel. If I can find them at a good price in a 6-1/2 I will definitely purchase them again.

I love the slim fit of these boots. They are comfortable to walk in and didn't need to be broken in. The tall shaft is great. I wear these boots with skirts and dresses.
