I normally wear a size 7 1/2, but I needed to buy a 7 for a perfect fit. The leather is buttery soft on this boot. The shaft is slightly slouchy, but it's supposed to be and that's part of what I love about them. I love the style....cowboy-ish, but not overly so. They can be worn with soooo many things....dresses, skirts, shorts, jeans. The wood on the heel has a weathered look to it, that I really liked. I felt they were true to size. I had to return them because I didn't like the 'slouchiness' of the leather shaft of the boot that tends bunch up and ride down. They would have been perfect if it was a stiffer leather boot shaft and they had been taller.
