Here's what's to love: the leather is a gorgeous, burnished dark red and goes with many things; the stitching is well done and overall they're well constructed and appear that with care, they'll last a long time, as they should for the $$$; they're very comfortable, especially for a heel this height (after a two mile walk in them yesterday my feet felt great); the studding is chic and different without being flashy at all; they look great with both skinny jeans and dresses/skirts.A few cautions: these run true to size, but if you live somewhere really cold and want to wear thick socks with them, you may want to go up half a size. The heel has a nice rubbery surface that helps absorb shock and prevents slipping. The sole under the rest of the boot starts out slick, but once roughed up provides decent traction. First of all, so comfortable right out of the box. No need to break them in. I do not wear heels, or narrow-toed shoes due to the discomfort, but these are like walking on bouncy clouds.The spice color is gorgeous! The metal studding is lovely. These boots ooze tradition, quality and fine craftsmanship. I had wanted the cranberry color, but not available in my size and too expensive. I ordered an 8, and they are a perfect fit. I wear an 8 in sandals and generously comfortable shoes, like danskos and earth shoes, and usually an 8.5 in more structured shoes. These 8's are perfect for my feet. I am wearing them with socks and the fit is very comfortable. Can't wait until the leather wears in and becomes gorgeous and supple.
