By expanding my research slightly beyond the Amazon.com horizon, I was able to see how these boots really fit, and make sure they were what I wanted.These boots are slightly more slouchy (baggy in some areas) than the images represent. If you want to see a true example of how the boots will look, I recommend heading over to Zappos.com and watching the video that comes with their product description. I bought my pair in Tan (size 9.5) and found it to be a true fit, with enough space in the shaft to tuck my boot-cut jeans into comfortably. The 2 1/2 inch heel gives me a touch of extra height and are still super comfortable to walk in. I have put these boots through their paces, spending hours walking around town in them, and they don't hurt my feet at the end of the day. The color is true to the website photos. The toebox and instep are too narrow. I have regular calves of 13.5 inches. Ankle area is too baggy and the shaft is just too slouchy that I did not anticipate by looking at website photos. Suede is very soft and nice, and that is the reason why the shaft is slouchy. Other than the above, they are beautiful. If you want to have this style, I would recommend to order half size up. |
